Small cassettes, also known as S-size or MiniDV cassettes, had been intended for amateur use, but have become accepted by professionals too. MiniDV cassettes are used for recording baseline DV, DVCAM, and HDV. Each tape holds upto 15GB for each hour of video. The resolution for Mini DV in standard definition or SD will be 720 x 576, the same as that of DVD-Video so it's a perfect fit.
